Text of the letter:

Ukiah, Mendocina Co., Cal.

Dec. 16th 1894

Capt. Bradford
Belton, Texas

My dear sir:

I wrote you some time [?] on the matter of taxes but as I find that I failed to hear from you on the matter beg you will kindly notice my request. The money would be of advantage to me and mine. Please let me know something about it. Also will you interview Monteith & Hall respecting the suit brought in reference to the land I have written repeatedly to them and failed to receive any reply. I do not wish to go to the expense of visiting your state although it would be a pleasure apart from the business. Please give these requests your earliest attention and confer a great favor on me.

Yours truly,

Mrs. M.A. Kelton
