Return to Letters Page View the Original Letter -- Page 1 2 Ukiah, Mendocina Co., Cal. May 2, 1892 Monteith & Hall Gentlemen, I have forwarded my depositions. You will notice by envelope charges of Notary. Kindly inform me why suit is brought in names of the gentlemen mentioned! Will you not tell me why I am simply a witness not a party directly interested! I asked these questions but as you could not have received the letter of [missing page?] cause you never answered. I know my husband had property in your state but his death was so sudden that I was unprepared in many ways to attend fully to his business. I trust you. Will you explain every thing to me? As my late husband's trusted lawyer I appeal to you. As I have said before "If my presences would be of any assistance, let me know & I certainly shall come. Let me hear from you as soon as possible. Respectfully yours, Mrs. Mary A. Kelton
