Return to Letters Page View the Original Letter -- Page 1 2 Ukiah, Mendocina Co., Cal. February 1, 1891 Monteith & Hall Gentlemen, I have refrained these many months writing to you; as I feared my correspondence could not possibly expedite matters but might annoy. Hearing through my attorney that you have written him I deemed it justice to the children & self to inquire what progress you had made in the case assigned you? My imperfect knowledge of law & slow and desirous ways must be my excuse for this letter. I have been advised to give the matter a personal supervision, but a confidence, born of a turst in my husband's knowledge of your integrity will not permit. Let me hear from you. Respectfully yours, Mrs. Mary A. Kelton
