Kelton Researchers

The Author

Ed Kelton first began collecting Kelton family history information in 1962 after his grandmother, Daisy Miller Kelton, died. When he had asked family members about their origins, they knew nothing except that his great-grandfather had come to West Texas in about 1878. The family eventually discovered they were descendants of Robert and Catherine Kelton. Robert had come to the Republic of Texas in 1839 from Georgia.

Ed has collected and researched all parts of the Kelton family and in 1989 wrote and published a family history about Robert and Catherine Kelton, which is the basis for much of the information included in this home page. He has also worked in cyperspace, first on Prodigy and now through the Internet to connect with Kelton relatives and near-relatives to collect more information about the family. The Kelton Family HomePage first appeared on the web on April 1, 1995.

Ed is a writer, designer and webperson, who works in marketing communications for a small startup company. One of his accomplishments is designing the corporate symbol for the Cayman Islands Post Office. See the "postage stamp" tribute to his nephew's Pyrenees, Bella Regina.
